12 Lies You Believed As A Child

12. The Ice Cream Man Only Played Music When He Was Out Of Ice Cream

There probably aren't many of us who believed this one, but if you did, then apologies for your evil parents. The ice cream man played a big part in your childhood because it was probably the only time you ever ran if you were more of an 'indoor' kid. Those really were the good old days because a 99 really only cost you 99p, these days you say "a 99 please" and you hand over £1.49 or something silly. But of course, maybe your parents thought that you had already eaten your fair share of sugary goods that day or were short on change, and they believed that their only option was to lie to their child. "No sweetheart, he plays music to let you know that all of the ice cream is gone. Yes I'm serious. No, you can't go out and ask him."
