Seriously, there are whole paragraphs dedicated to the amazing awe-inspiring beauty of ears €“ and now fans are kind of into ears, too. The protagonist's obsession with ears in A Wild Sheep Chase is just one of the many details that contribute to the book's surreal tone. It's something to come out of a book having learned a lesson about life €“ it's another to have gained a new-found appreciation for ears.
