December 25th: the one day on the calendar that actually matters. So whilst it's still July, that doesn't mean that you're not already looking forward to snuggling up next to the fire on those dark Winter nights. If you had one wish (aside from world peace), you would probably ask for it to be Christmas everyday. You do have some friends that aren't really a fan of Christmas because they prefer the sunshine and being outside, but you take solace in the fact that they're wrong. Christmas trumps Summer every time. Roll on December where you can get excited without people judging you because it's finally beginning to look a lot like Christmas. This is supposed to be a joyful time and you don't understand why some people find it so stressful. It's probably because they leave all of their shopping to the last minute and you already bought the majority of yours in the January sales earlier in the year - there's no point in paying full price for the same things that you're going to buy anyway and you like to be prepared. Some of your friends and family raise their eyebrows at you and your organisational skills, but they're the ones left panic buying on Christmas Eve. This gives you time to thoroughly enjoy the build up to Christmas. Whether you're a fan of carol singing, the endless nativity plays or baking a Christmas orientated treat every day; you just can't get enough of the festive season. You find yourself in a constant state of cheerfulness and merriment as the snow starts falling; the cookies are baking, blue birds are singing and you're listening. You've also had all year to perfect those tasty treats because like Santa's elves, you prepare for the next Christmas on Boxing Day of the year before. Whether you celebrate it for religious reasons or not, Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of year.
12. Christmas Movies Are Your Favourite
Christmas movies just make you happy. You don't feel guilty by not having a social life because you'd rather just stay in the house every evening, sit by the fire and get all wrapped up with a good Christmas movie. Everyone has their favourites from Home Alone to Elf, but it isn't socially acceptable to watch them during the Summer, unless it's on the television as a mid year treat. Film4 should be showing some Xmas films at some point soon if they haven't spoiled you already.
