She voiced the role of the inevitably musical Mary Spuckler, one of Cleetus' many daughters, and she forms a bond with Bart, before reprising her role in two further episodes. It wasn't the first time Deschanel has been dropped into a cartoon, with two guest appearances also coming during American Dad in 2005 and 2013.
