New Girl has been renewed for a fifth series, but Deschanel has plenty more to worry about at the moment as she is currently pregnant. Deschanel - who divorced Death Cab For Cutie guitarist Ben Gibbard in 2012 - announced that she was pregnant on January 14th this year, so is there a way that could be worked into the New Girl script, or will the camera operators have to be on top form to avoid the bump? A week after announcing the pregnancy, she declared that she was also engaged to 42-year-old Jacob Pechenik who she has worked with on the upcoming Rock The Kasbah. With New Girl still drawing in enough viewers for at least another season, and projects on the horizon, thankfully it looks like Zooey Deschanel will be on our screens for years to come.
