For many, lets be honest here, couples, watching a film is a life highlight. Snuggling in with each other and laughing a crying at the latest Richard Curtis opus. Pausing occasionally to have a little kiss or to top up the pinot. Films. They both entertain and educate. When you live by yourself, its all too easy to watch the same thing over and over until youve ruined it for yourself. Unless it is the Rocky films. Then they cant be ruined because they just get better all the time. Better even with the help of a cold beer. And a bag of crisps. And a pasty. So, as couples across the land snuggle in and hold each other tightly, youre sitting in your pants, holding a warm beer and crying as Apollo Creed gets destroyed by Ivan Drago. God damn it, Rocky, throw in the damn towel!
