13 People You're Guaranteed To Meet Working In A Call Centre
13. The Jobsworth
There are always plenty of these to encounter. If your call centre has no work dress code, theyll turn up in a shirt, if its business casual, theyll still insist on wearing a tie. Theyll garner titles like team leader or knowledge champion for generally little to no extra pay. They sit there with a smug, satisfied grin as theyre taking calls and every customer is important to them. Their breaks are spent telling you how good the call was that they just had. Youll see them every lunch time, always trying to sit with the managers, cue awkward looks upon the managers faces. Constantly at work every dayshift that you are, as theyre happy to take on as much overtime as possible. They are always there with advice for you, how you couldve made that call better, or, hey, did you know about this new incentive? Always buzzing around the call floor, be sure not to tell them about anything youre doing that you shouldnt be, because you will be told on. Its alright though; youll pass them again on their way to the middle.
