Everybody loves a summer music festival. The diversity of bands, the atmosphere, the day-drinking...all in all it's a win-win. But how about two festivals? Three? How about nineteen (19!), and all of them affordable? Nice. If you have a flat and an Oyster card in London, you're pretty much set. Why spend up to £400 lugging a massive backpack cross-country when you can go to a festival for the cost of a cocktail in Chelsea? London offers up a huge selection of non-camping weekend music festivals pretty much everywhere across the city. Rock music fans can try Camden Rocks, with Ginger Wildheart, The Subways, and many more(!) for just £25. But okay sure, maybe you want to stand in a field and see some indie bands, like The Pixies or Metronomy? How about both in the gorgeous Victoria Park, for a measly £78 at Field Day? But why do that when you can go to Vision festival in Hackney and see Andrew W.K. (among many others) for also £25? If none of these float your boat, whatever just have a look at what else there is. With nineteen events to choose from, chances are you won't be disappointed.
