Talking of festivals, it's time to talk about the beautiful All Tomorrow's Parties. Whilst the company still put on gigs around London fairly regularly, there was national heartbreak (in my house, at least) when they announced they would no longer be putting on their holiday camp festivals that were just about the greatest experience you could have. Watching a band like The National play in a multi-purpose room in Pontins is - you have to admit - pretty damn awesome. But not to fear! Whilst the holiday camp festivals may not be back, ATP are bringing us a London-based festival to be proud of. With advertising already adorning the Overground routes of East London (of course in East London), Jabberwocky promises performances from hipster staples like Neutral Milk Hotel, James Blake, Darkside and Caribou in a two-day extravaganza in the ExCel centre - where ComicCon usually is but possibly with more beer and moustaches. All Tomorrow's Parties have a great reputation for putting on a great time, so the return of a festival is reason enough in itself to stay put this summer.
