14 Important Life Lessons You Only Learn By Accident
7. Drinking Orange Juice After Brushing Your Teeth
There are just some things you can only learn unintentionally. The emotional whiplash that comes from being taught day after day that you must brush your teeth first thing in the morning (depending on where you come from) was rapidly betrayed the moment you took to the morning orange juice moments later. It's not something we expected. You would think that citrus gum with its minty marketing would warn us about this, or at least be cheeky about the concept in some of kind of commercial campaign. Unfortunately, the adult world deemed it necessary that everyone learn the wrath of mixing these two chemicals as an act of misguided retribution for falling victim to the accident themselves. The real lesson, of course, is that there are going to be times when life is just going to suck for you, and bad things happen for no reason. You want to blame others for not warning you ahead of time, but you learn that putting that kind of responsibility on anyone but yourself is futile.
