14 Internet Memes We're Totally Obsessed With Using
6. "Go Home, You're Drunk"
Pointing out the failures of others in memes is no surprise. Its basically reached the point of parody, and coming up with memes to associate to said failures has been on the rise for the past few years. One of the first memes to start this method is the "Go Home, You're Drunk" meme. With a rather substantial origin story, stretching back to 2008, the meme has been utilsed in ways associated with pointing how out of place and imprecise things can be. When something ends up being completely out of place, or in a location that is completely wrong or opposite to where it should be, the meme will be there to express itself. Even when an accident happens in the most ignominious of circumstances, the meme is there to help explicate those failures. Much like people calling out acts of stupidity with "Annoyed Picard", the same appertains to "Go Home, You're Drunk"; anyone can sit back and witness something randomly happen or point out an error, while they say to themselves "go home dog, you're dunk" or "go home book, you're drunk" simply because the dog was sleeping in his/her bed backwards or there was an inkblot on one of the pages.
