14 Reasons Your 20s Are Just Like The Lord Of The Rings

1. You Fall In Helpless Love

Isn't falling in love such a lovely daydream? When it finally happens to you, it's the best feeling ever, like all the presents came to your doorstep at once. Your twenties will find you in a position you've never been in before: falling in love with someone under complicated circumstances. By the time you've left school, lots of your friends will have had relationships with other friends - that's what happens when you all hang out daily for ten years. Chances are, the person you fall in love with is going to be someone you already knew. And that means they might have already had relationships with other people within your group. Still, if you love each other, you'll get over the angry looks and cold shoulders. Take a leaf out of Arwen and Aragorn's love life - she had eternal life, he would grow old and die. If that's not a complicated basis for a relationship, what is? But they got over those hurdles and got married (and in the books had a little baby to take over as king of Gondor one day). Love is worth fighting for - and you'll realise that when you hit 25 and decide that marriage is definitely something you're interested in. Did you enjoy this article? I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
