'Oh my God, I love your skirt, where did you get it?' Is fine if it's a genuine observation. If you then go on to diss the poor girl's skirt behind her back then it just defeats the whole purpose of that conversation. You have literally just created some drama for no reason at all and you're giving all girls a bad name. Regardless if the skirt is genuinely disgusting.
