14 Things That Will Happen If You Work In An Office

13. There Will Be Fights Over Who Cleans The Kitchen

If your office doesn't have a designated cleaner, fights will break out in the form of passive aggressive notes, dirty looks and loud tutting whenever someone walks into and out of the kitchen. The place will mostly likely make you want to forget about eating your microwaveable lunch because the inside of the science oven has never been cleaned. You then don't want to be the one to clean it because everyone will assume that you'll be the one to always do it. They'll leave it for as a present, like when your dog proudly presents you with a dead bird. As far as cleaning goes, no one actually does the washing up properly anyway. There are leftover food marks on the plates and the cutlery, tea stains over the counter and the bins are one giant game of Jenga. Replacing the bin bag and taking the rubbish out is just too much for people and you dread to think about what their house actually looks like. But if you take the bins out, it's technically a form of procrastination as well as a treat. If you work in a city center, is anyone really going to pull you up about the cake you bought from Greggs when you took out the rubbish? No, because you've cleaned the place up. Taking the bins out is now a half hour round trip, and you deserve it.
