These electrified creatures arent actually eels, but rather fish that are related to catfish. Their greatest defence are the 6,000 electrocytes in their bodies that store power like batteries. When attacked, they can deliver a massive shock of over 600 volts that can knock down a horse. That is way cooler than a Taser. Not only can they zap stuff, but they can also use their electrical pulses as radar. They have poor eyesight but their radar capabilities help them navigate and find prey. Electric eels are also tenacious, being able to produce steady electric volts for at least an hour at a time.
