2. The Spanish Donkey

This torture device was created by the Spanish during the Inquisition, proving that they clearly were not people to be messed with, given that this one is probably one of the most gruesome torture devices to ever have been designed. The victim would be made to straddle this wooden, donkey shaped apparatus whilst naked, with their legs hanging down from either side of the V-shaped wedge. Uncomfortable enough, but then weights would then be added to the victim's feet and legs until the pressure becomes too much and they are literally ripped in half, genitals first.
