15 Photos That Totally Prove Why Women Live Longer Than Men

7. Ladder Balancing Act, Part I

These men might look at this and see a clever solution to a painting predicament; everyone else sees a potential catastrophe. After all, ladders are meant for flat ground, not bridging the gap between landing and wall. NOTHING GOOD CAN COME OF THIS. Did you know, they make tools for painting things that are far away: like rollers on poles, for example? I'm sure one or two of those cost much less than the medical bills for many broken bones. And as if this balancing act wasn't bad enough...

6. Ladder Balancing Act, Part II

How could ANYONE think this was a good idea? Ladders on their own are pretty precarious, but a ladder on top of a ladder? Recipe for disaster. While it's good this courageous climber's friend is stabilizing the lower ladder, what about the top one? Did neither of them think that this upper segment, especially as unevenly balanced as it is, might not be the safest solution to needing more height? One wrong move from the worker and both he and the ladder could quickly slip down to a very painful injury, if not total destruction. Conclusion? Men really shouldn't be allowed near ladders.

5. Friends Are Ladders, Too

When Ringo Starr sang about getting a little help from his friends, it's highly unlikely that this is what he meant. This is just foolishness. Power tools plus precarious balance... what could ever go wrong? But y'know, they could be on to something: why don't we all use our mates as ladders? They're so much sturdier, and talk about reliability! To top it all off, this particular stunt is a two-for-one situation because, if the top guy loses his balance or drops the drill, he's bringing down his assistant with him. You know what they say: those who go to A&E together, stay together.
