14. Nobody Outside The Potteries Knows What Lobby Is
And no, it isn't a room, it's a stew. This traditional delicacy has a recipe as mysterious as it is delicious. The mystery concerns what, exactly, the ingredients are. For a start, does it contain barley? The answer to this question can (and does) spark passionate debates that strike at the very core of what it is to be a Potteries man. While the argument rages, it's probably best to get another pint of Marston's Pedigree in, or Bass, if preferred. Just so long as it's not a snakebite and black.
