Being 'in' with the kitchen staff will give you a massive status increase at work - and provide you with free food if you can wangle them some drinks on the sly from the bar. However, if it's a busy day and you've put an order in wrong and they've got to cook that well-done steak yet again but without the sauce, you're in for a tough time. Get ready to be shouted at, sworn out, blanked for the rest of the day, reduced to tears, and wondering if you should leave your job due to this abrupt wave of hate. You thought you were BFF's, and now he loathes you because you forgot that customer was gluten free. Hell hath no fury like an angry tired sweaty chef.
