The rules for roller derby can be confusing to people who don't play, but they still exist. It's not like you can commit full on assault in the name of victory.

It's rough yes, but as you're no doubt sick of telling people, you can only use upper arms, shoulders, hips and your bum. And that legal targets are any zone between neck and knee, but not the back. 

So no, you do not punch people.
