That is a phrase you'll be hearing over the next week or two, probably more than once. And you'll certainly have to submit a copy to human resources. You'll be told it's just for file-sharing and an open office environment. Just to keep everybody appraised of the situation. Trust us, it's not. The horrible truth of it all is that nobody knows your job like you do, and they want you to write up what you seem busy doing all day, before you're too furious at the unfairness of it all to want to help them. It's a cold and logical decision, that seems particularly hurtful if you consider it has been made by a human being whom you spend hours with day-in, day-out. In reality, it hasn't been made by a human, but by a corporate stooge who is just glad it's not them getting the chop.
