8. If You Couldn't Support Yourself

It's normal to see a homeless person begging for food on the sidewalk (as sad as it is) but the last thing we would think is that person practiced witchcraft, right? In the 1600's people believed homeless people were being cursed for practicing witchcraft and thus go around hexing anyone who wouldn't give them what they asked for. Some homeless people were just hanged for being disliked.
