16 Most Evil Psychopaths In Literature

13. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille - Perfume By Patrick Süskind

As far as the world's creepiest psychopaths go, the medal would have to be awarded to Jean-Baptiste Grenouille. The anti-hero of the novel was born with hyperosmia, which is a condition where you have a very enhanced sense of smell; this leads him to then become a serial killer. Despite this enhancement he does not have a smell of his own which lead to the rejection from his mother at birth and also from wet nurses after his death. Motivated completely by the scent of others he soon discovers that to capture a persons scent permanently you will need to kill them. This then leads the reader on the journey of a man who is the most psychopathic perfumer known in literature to date.
