10. "Can I Go Home Now?"

You are 6cm dilated, no you can't go home. Usually before you're at the big 10cm you'd happily hop onto a camel if it means that you get to go home and get into bed. No matter how many times you ask your midwife to go for a nap or for them to take you away and get the baby out (either through a C Section or through magic), it isn't going to happen. You need to do your time and go home after, just like everyone else. And no amount of crying or screaming will change that: which ironically is a lesson you'll start to appreciate more after the first few years of your baby's life.
