17 Sexy Science Facts To Liven Up Parties
1. The Reason For Foot Fetishes

Sigmund Freud claimed that people sexualize feet because they resemble penises. Then again, Sigmund Freud claimed a lot of things about penises that turned out not to be true, and his theory probably says more about the mangled shape of his member than the twisted kinks of the human race.
Aside from Freud's penis fixation, feet and foot accessories are the most fetishized of all non-genital body parts, so what gives?
Neuroscientist, Vilanayar Ramachandran, thinks that he might have found a clue as to why we just can't seem to get enough of feet. Whilst studying the brain malfunctions that lead to phantom limb syndrome, he found that the brain areas associated with genitalia and feet are adjacent to each other in the brain's body image map. All it takes is for a little bit of dodgy wiring to lead people to experience feelings of sexual pleasure and sometimes even orgasms, originating in their feet.
