8. Michael Jackson

Death: 25 June 2009 The King of Pop. No one deserves that title more than Michael Jackson and his songs will probably live on forever because they're simply legendary, just like his moonwalking. He began performing at a young age singing in the Jackson 5 and then continued his career as a solo artist where he simply thrived. Not only was his music loved by people from across the world, but they also loved him for the person he was. His personal life was attacked on numerous occasions because of many surgeries he had to change the colour of his skin and he was accused of child sexual abuse. Michael died in bed after he suffered from cardiac arrest. His doctor, Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter as he injected Michael with an overdose of propofol which brought on his death. The entire world grieved for him after his death was announced. Michael was admired by people all over the world, not only for his music but for his personal life. He broke down barriers of what society thinks is normal and his bravery for determining that he wasn't comfortable in his own skin wasn't accepted as it should have been, it was met with controversy. Michael taught people that you can be anyone you want and attempted to break down those taboo barriers in his lifetime.
