13. Kurt Cobain

Death: 5 April 1994 Cobain was the lead singer and songwriter of the band Nirvana which people fell in love with. However, being famous isn't exactly an easy thing to deal with and Cobain disliked the attention, the media's focus on his personal life and he felt uncomfortable in the public eye. Alongside this struggle with fame, Cobain developed an addiction to heroin during the last years of his life as well as suffering from depression. His body was found in his home by an electrician on April 8th 1994, although it is estimated that he died on the 5th to suicide. Although there were traces of drugs in his system, Cobain had shot himself in the head. Cobain showed the world the price that you pay for fame, even if it is unwanted. His death should show people how to treat people who do live in the public eye because of their talents that they want to share with the world, surely you should be treating them like the human being that they are? Mental illnesses should not be taken lightly and everyone should do their best to help understand those who are suffering.
