3. Hussein Was An Admirer Of Joseph Stalin... And Based His Iraqi Regime On The Former USSR Leader's Methods

Their brutal reigns may not have coincided with one another, but Hussein did admire his fellow dictator Joseph Stalin - and even attempted to copy some of the policies that the former Soviet leader implemented. Stalin ruled the USSR between 1925 and 1952 and held complete control over his country - something Hussein also attempted to achieve, implementing some smaller-scale collectivisation and industrialisation projects that the former Soviet Premier had been successful in forcing through. In fact, there are some reports that Hussein's moustache was inspired by Stalin. Well, why else would you have a tache like that?
