When you got your job at Smiths, you were enthralled. Think of how many books there are in there! Think of the discount! Think of ALL THE BOOKS YOU'RE GOING TO BUY EVERY SHIFT! The reality is that the discount is too low, the price of books is too high, and you spend quiet weekday afternoons practically drooling over the 'new in' book section, where there are at least eighteen books on your current wish list. You stick with getting your books from Tesco: nothing beats two for seven pounds, no matter how prestigious the store.
I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
