For example, if you're looking for an area manager in the construction industry, you might have to pretend to be phoning from the Construction Industry Council and are simply wanting to update your records. When the person on the other end of the line gives you the information you need - voila! You have the name you need to ask for when you make the next call a few hours later to make your approach.
