18 Problems Only Recruitment Workers Understand

17. LinkedIn

LinkedIn - the social network for professionals - certainly has its uses. In some cases it can be a godsend, but for those people working in recruitment it can be a source of real frustration. Recruitment workers can use it to search for candidates, but more often than not the people on there barely ever use it, so messaging them via LinkedIn's own messaging system is generally pointless - they either won't ever receive the message or they'll receive it in six months' time when it's too late. Then there's also the problem of information being out of date. While a profile might state that a person is looking for work, their situation could have changed months ago and they just hadn't updated their status.
