As soon as some randomer added you you would always say 'thanks for the add', although back in the day, there was a lot less graphemes there and more numbers. "Tnx 4 da add" - text speak was the coolest way to talk back in the day and if you thought that some words could do without certain letters, then you'd take them out - who fancied you for your intelligence anyway?
