1. People Assuming That You Want To Be Out Of Work
Aaaah. Last but most certainly not least. The worst thing about being unemployed is that people simply don't think you're bothering at all, and that you want to be out of work. Seriously. They think you want to be unemployed. Alright, there may be some individuals who just want all their time to be leisure time, but for the vast majority of people, both employed and unemployed, working and achieving is something that they would love to do. That they want to do. To be told that is a bit of a slap in the face to all your hard work and efforts, and causes you to seriously reconsider the relationships you have close to home. You're working hard at not only finding work, but finding work that you'll be proud to talk about, not a job that will forever have the suffix of 'it pays the bills'. You know you'e working hard at finding a job, at finding that right kind of work, and unless you walk around with a big sign saying 'LOOK AT ME BEING PRODUCTIVE', people are sadly inclined to think that you don't actually want to work and enjoy coasting through life. Having people like this can shatter your drive and confidence, and the only way to stop them is to ignore their words and keep on working. One day you will find The Job, and you will be amazing at it, and then you can send the appropriate amount of 'shade' to anyone who ever dared doubt you. Until then, just keep doing you, and keep on looking. You got this.
