20. It Took Only One Year To Build
The ground was broke for Disneyland on June 16th, 1954. Almost exactly one year later on June 17th, 1955 the gates were opened.
It was such a tight deadline that construction workers were still painting and hammering right up until the opening day television broadcast started.
