10. Friendly Fire
Another theory that has become more prominent in recent days is a rather strange twist in the second shooter theory, one that the fatal shot that exploded Kennedy's skull was actually fired by a shell-shocked, inexperienced Secret Service agent. George Hickey allegedly drew his rifle in the car behind the President after the second shot was fired, and the weapon was accidentally discharged due to the inertia of the vehicle with the stray bullet piercing Kennedy's head. However, with no solid witnesses and overwhelming forensic evidence to the contrary, this theory is mostly overlooked. It has garnered some attention lately with the release of a new documentary in favor of this scenario, called JFK: The Smoking Gun. It may be worth a watch if you're interested in learning the case for this theory.
