86m002l If the movies have taught us anything, it's that every apartment window and hotel room in Paris has to have a pretty good view of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, life rarely lives up to that...unless you happen to be staying at the Shangri La, of course. Formerly a palace occupied by Napoleon Bonaparte's grandnephew, Shangri La was converted into a hotel several years ago. As you might expect, its interiors are as sumptuous and extravagant as its views are amazing, with half of the hotel rooms and suites facing the Eiffel Tower. After a weekend here, any other hotel is going to feel like literally living in filth.
