20 Jaw-Droppingly Weird Laws That Still Exist In America
17. Nevada - Mustachioed Men May Not Kiss Women
Law's Origin: Late 1800s
Risk of Prosecution: Slaps in the face
The moustache – that ever-thickening push broom above an ageing man's lips – has always been a questionable fashion choice. Even in the wilder, magical time of the 80s a moustache could somehow look sleazily out of place.
Some guys look cool with one, others look odd; however, Nevada flat out hates them.
What is truly odd is seeing as women could not vote in America until 1920, it is safe to assume this archaic law was passed by men, some of who probably had moustaches. Which begs the question, why did these guys care? I mean, were they worried about not being able to kiss the moustachioed men themselves?
Our Rating: Leave mustaches alone. They already have enough problems.
