20 Jaw-Droppingly Weird Laws That Still Exist In America
15. Washington - Harassing Bigfoot Is Against The Law
Law's Origin: 1969
Risk of Prosecution: Life in prison and up to $50,000 in fines
In the mountainous state of Washington, the harassment of any and all undiscovered subspecies related, but perhaps not entirely homo sapien is strictly forbidden. The law was put in place after several "sightings" of such a creature were reported, causing cryptozoologists and animal researchers to fear the slaying of such creatures by dumb hunters.
Therefore, dumb hunters will not be resolved of their crime in the state of Washington for any accidental killings of said animal and doing so is a felony, punishable by fine and imprisonment... and oh my God, they are talking about Big Foot, a local myth with no supporting evidence.
The law does not extend to any creature not resembling a human so watch out unicorns.
Our Rating: Won't be funny on the day when the Planet of the Apes becomes a reality.
