20 London Attractions You Need To Visit Before You Die

14. Brick Lane Music Hall

An attempt to bring back the style of live music hall entertainment from the Victorian and Edwardian era, the Brick Lane Music Hall is mandatory for any lovers of comedy and music. Based in the former St Mark's Church, Silvertown, the Brick Lane Music Hall is a glimpse into a London from centuries ago. For those unfamiliar with the term, Music Hall refers to a type of theatrical entertainment that was popular in Britain between 1850 and 1960. A mix of stand-up comedy, singing and pantomime, the shows at the Brick Lane Music Hall are also accompanied by dinner or afternoon tea. The building itself is notable for its Gothic brickwork and interior design, and the lively entertainment offers a very British way to spend an evening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7lmfmkfw88
