Alongside his charitable acts and his regular visits to big sporting events such as the baseball, Capone also used other methods to play up his positive celebrity image. Asking photographers to snap him on his "good" right side - because his scars were on the left of his face - Capone also hired a press officer named Damon Runyon to control his media image.
