Jimmy Carter did not leave behind the greatest legacy. Because he had a relatively quiet, pacifistic presidency compared to most other Commanders In Chief, he's remembered as a boring old so-and-so whose most enduring contribution to American history is as a running joke in an episode of The Simpsons (he's history's greatest monster!) Still, he had his moments. The rabbit incident is, surprisingly, not the weirdest incident in Carter's life: no, it's his assertion that he once saw a flying saucer. He was the first president to believe he'd spotted a UFO, submitting a report to the International UFO Bureau while serving as governor of Georgia in 1973.
