4. Apple Released A Video-Game Console In 1995 Named "Pippin"... But It Completely Bombed

The Apple Pippin - or PiPP!N as it was marketed - was a video-game console released by the company in 1995. Marketed as "an integral part of the consumer audiovisual, stereo and television environment", the Pippin proved to be a complete failure and was discontinued less than two years after it went on sale. Of the 100,000 manufactured, less than half were sold at the hefty $600 price tag - and that is probably why Apple have never since ventured into the video-game console market.
