5. The Apple Logo Was Flipped On The Top Of Macintosh Portables... Due To The Fact It Appeared Upside Down In Films
Until the 1990s, all Apple Macintosh Portables featured the company's logo upside down once the lid had been lifted. Steve Jobs originally thought that it was easier for customers to have the logo facing the right way when the screen was down because in that way they would not attempt to open it from the wrong side, meaning it was upside down once the lid was up. However, once Apple products started to be featured in TV programmes and films in particular then the company realised it looked silly with the logo upside down when someone was working on the Mac Portables - and failed as a marketing device - so they decided to flip it during the 1990s (so that it now appears as above).
