3. The Company Has Been Accused Of Worsening The Water-Scarcity Situation In India... Due To The Fact It Takes 3.12litres Of Water To Make One-Litre Of Coca-Cola

India is a country that has a population in excess of 1.25billion - and, due to the fact it suffers from extreme weather conditions, water can often be in short supply. With the Coca-Cola Company admitting that it takes on average 3.12 litres of water to produce one-litre of its products, lawsuits have been brought against the firm - including in Kerala, Varanasi and Plachimada. These lawsuits have claimed that Coca-Cola's high-volume water use has exacerbated the water-supply problem and they should therefore be held accountable - however, none of these cases have ever resulted in the company being apportioned complete blame.
