Supposedly created by Canadian comic-book artist Travis Charest, Pepsiman had three different outfits in order to represent the different products the company had on the market and he featured in 12 separate TV adverts - turning up when people were thirsty with a can of the famous cola.
Bizarrely, "Pepsiwoman" also appeared in a couple of adverts for the product "Pepsi Twist" - and she looked identical to her male counterpart, except she wore a lemon-shape balaclava. In order to capitalise on the success of the adverts, in 1996 Pepsiman was introduced as a special character into the Sega Saturn version of arcade game "Fighting Vipers".
Then, in 1999, PlayStation released a game entitled "Pepsiman" - in which the titular character ran around collecting cans of Pepsi in an attempt to quench the thirst of people around the city. Sounds like a classic...
