Apple makes on average $300,000 a minute. Perhaps not surprising when you consider that they sold 340,000 iPhones per day in 2012 alone. They have a heck of a lot of money. Even for an international tech company, Apple are huge. In fact on last count, they earned more than Google, Facebook and Amazon combined. They're worth more than the entire Russian stock market. Apple have more operating cash than even the US Treasury, which is...mildly alarming. From the looks of it the company is only going to keep growing, too, its sales increasing by $22 billion in 2010 more revenue than the entire company generated four years prior. Granted, it's slowed a little since then, but not by much. If all of that doesn't convince you that Apple are on their way to being a world superpower the way that countries usually are and remember this is a world where companies are being treated like people then how about the fact that only 61 countries are currently bigger than them in terms of the money they have? That means they have a bigger GDP (that's Gross Domestic Product) than Iraq, Croatia, Libya, Ecuador, and more than 100 other countries. We for one welcome our new Silicon Valley overlords...
