20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Apple

14. Apple Store Jobs Are Ridiculous

The company has something like 80,000 employees around the world, but don't think that staggering number puts the odds in your favour. The likelihood of getting a job at one of their lovely shiny Apple Stores is low. Like, ridiculously low. To the point that you're more likely to get accepted at an Ivy League university like Harvard than get a crack at being an Apple Genius. They don't use that name lightly, they literally expect you to be clued up on your Mac facts to even be in with a chance of working at an Apple Store. It might be different from the €œlicensed€ or franchised Apple Stores but when it comes to the Real McCoy, the entry process is rigorous and ridiculous. There are multiple interviews, often in swanky venues, where candidates have to not only show off their knowledge of Apple products but also be ready to compete directly against each other whilst fully taking on board the company's philosophy like it was a religion. But at least you get paid above minimum wage.
