5. Being Home To The World's Slowest Regeneration Project

https://twitter.com/shieldsgazette/status/541856930034376704 South Tyneside Council introduced their £100 million regeneration masterplan a few years ago and, so far, we€™ve see the 1960s eyesore Wouldhave House razed to the ground and gotten a new leisure centre out of the deal. Though we€™re still waiting on that snazzy new library and cinema we were promised (hint, hint Council).
