Welsh Road Sign
Cardiff Airport

For a city that is rapidly expanding, Cardiff doesn't have much of an airport. In fact, the airport isn't really that close to Cardiff at all. Miles away in the middle of nowhere it isn't representative of the bustling, metropolitan atmosphere of the capital city. More a cafe, a few shops, a pub and a small runway. You can travel to a number of European destinations but you have to go further afield to find an airport that will take you...somewhere more adventurous.

The most depressing thing is getting off the plane and seeing a sign for Barry Rotary Club greeting you on the way out.  Talk about bringing you back down to Earth hard after your sunny holiday. Particularly as, being Wales, its probably raining...
