It's been closed since 1999 and since then it's definitely been getting turned into a huge Tesco, or a retail park, or a massive cinema, of skyscraper offices, or a new bridge, or any of the crack pot investment ideas that have done the rounds. Apparently there's definitely a plan to sort it now and it'll be underway by the end of the year. Nobody's holding their breath though.
